Club Pairs Postal League: This is for pairs of shooters from the same club, shot on a postal basis. Targets are shot on each pair's home range in ten fortnightly match periods. Pairs are arranged according to their combined submitted average order and split into divisions. There may be different numbers of pairs in each division. Points are awarded to each pair in each round according to the ranking position of their combined score. i.e. the top-scoring pair receives N points where N is the number of pairs in the division, the next best receives N-1 points etc. Equal scores receive equal points. The pair with the highest number of points in each divsion after round 10 win medals.
The 2024-25 season is over and the results are in.
Division 1 could not have been closer as it finished as a tie on points won between Edinburgh University A and Watsonians A, with the former winning by just one aggregate gun point over the whole season.
Division 2 was won a little more comfortably by Prestonpans A who beat Edinburgh University C by 14 points.
Division 3 was almost as close as division 1, with Prestonpans F edging the club’s D team into 2nd by just 3 aggregate gun points after tieing on points won.
